I was a judge at a college event in Salem, listening to student pitches – some ambitious, some practical. But Varsha and Sindhuja stood out. Their idea? A simple, affordable water purifier. Their passion was undeniable.
When I followed up later, I expected progress. Instead, I heard hesitation. They needed just ₹5,000 to test their prototype. Varsha, raised by a single mother, wanted to build a future for her family. Sindhuja, already married, still dreamed of having a career.
I could have handed them the money. But what about the ones who never ask? The students who let their dreams slip away, not for lack of talent, but lack of support? That moment sparked DPurpose Foundation.
